How to install Remington Gail and Vedmata in Ubuntu Linux:
Hi friends
Nowadays, the typing exam’s in court recruitment conducting in Unicode font. Unicode font mean Remington or Vedmata Unicode. It is necessary to install this font in Ubuntu Linux:
In this video, I am going to show you how to install unicode fonts in ubuntu linux. I am using ubuntu 23.04.06 the process of installing these fonts same as the newer version also. Fristly you have a net connection. Connect the Ubuntu in internet the and follow the process.
Step -| Click the 9 dot on the bottom left corner of the desktop as you can see in the image
Now start Terminal in the app lists
Step II : Type the command : “sudo apt-get update” in the terminal hit Enter. Wait some time While your system getting update.
Step III : when the process will be done again Type the command ” sudo apt-get install ibus-m17n ” in the Termingal Hit the Enter Key If you have rooted any password enter it and hit Enter again
In the terminal ask you to installing the related package . the option show you” -y/n ” in the terminal. Type “y” and press Enter.
When your package is installed successfully type exit in terminal and hit ENTER. if no any error occurred your font installed successfully. Congratulation Unicode font’s are installed to your system now. Restart the system now
Step IV: Now you have to set up the font in your system . Click the 9 dot on desktop and click the setting option and scroll down to keyboard option and you can see the input source option.
In the older version you have to find this option in the “Region & Language” Option
Click the + sign then click the 3 dot
Type “Hin” in search bar then click “other” as u can see in the image
Just scroll down and you see the fonts which we have installed some times before. Just Select it and Click the “Add” Button. Congratulation your font is set-up successfully.
Now you can see the font in the right top corner on your desktop in a drop-down list of font family. Rpeat the Step IV to set up the vedmata font.
